Eco-industrial park, sustainable business park, eco-zoning… these terms all refer to the same goal: combining the business, environmental and social components of our industrial system to create a system of sustainable competitiveness.
There are several solutions to this imposing challenge: maximise the effective and efficient use and management of resources, water and energy, pool the supply and distribution, collection, treatment and recovery of waste, share facilities, exchanges of information and services, organise business activities on the basis of these goals.
7 September 2010 in Val Saint Lambert is the date and venue for the "Sustainable zoning and industrial ecology – Connection with the Walloon economy"day, an event due to be attended by the Economy Minister, Jean-Claude MARCOURT. This event will be used to open a call for echo-zoning projects. This initiative is part of the Marshall 2 Green Plan.
